Wedding Day!
I went to Grant Park near the mission in Ventura, CA this afternoon. I sat on a rock ledge and painted the sea and city scape hundreds of feet below me. As the afternoon was nearing sunset, this Wednesday afternoon in early December a just married couple had made their way to get their pictures taken in this beautiful setting! When I turn this study into a larger painting, I will surely include the newlyweds!
As the sun began to set and I was putting the finishing touches on my color study, a woman approached me and asked if she could show me something. She took this photo shown of me sitting on the ledge painting....and she kindly asked if I would like it and proceeded to text it to me!
